Get involved in our virtual entry to the Scottish Concert Band Festival this semester!

Established in 1990, the Strathclyde University Concert Band is comprised of current students, staff, and alumni of the university as well as students from other institutions. Under the musical direction of conductor Chris Mitchell the band has grown in recent years and won a number of high awards at the Scottish Concert Band Festival and the National Concert Band Festival along with presenting several concerts a year across the Greater Glasgow area. We accept woodwind, saxophones, brass, percussion and string bass players.

This semester, we will be entering the Scottish Concert Band Festival, which is being held as a virtual event in December. To give you an idea of how this will work, at the bottom of the page is a video we made in isolation over Summer 2020 playing one of our pieces from the last academic year.
