Candidate for the position of Vice President Welfare

Welsh for Welfare.

  • To increase the number of counsellors in the Student Counselling services to reduce waiting times.
  • To introduce wellbeing student representatives for each year in every university department (who receive mental health first aid training for their role).
  • To set up a Wellbeing society through the Student Union to which the student representatives will be members.
  • To run student-led peer support groups through this society. 
  • To increase awareness of the support services offered by Strathclyde through visitation and talks by student representatives to classes at the start of each year.
