IDENTITY

Daniel Awomukwu;

  • Currently a Ph.D. Forensic Science student in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
  • Former MSc. Forensic Science graduate from the University of Strathclyde in September 2018.
  • NUS UK and Scotland Conference Delegate 2020
  • Multiple academic scholar.
  • Possess a passion for a stress-free education community.

 

EXPERIENCE

1. Demonstrator in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry

2. PGR Course Representative RC, Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry

3. Ex-Democracy and Policy Officer of the Strathclyde University Students’ Union.

4. NUS Scotland Conference Delegate 2019

5. Ten (10) years of experience in academia.

 

ELECTION OBJECTIVES

 

DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop leadership programmes that will enlighten students on sustainability, CV preparation, scholarships and jobs (full-time and part-time) for those in need.

AMELIORATION

  • Ameliorate the student wellbeing by prioritising the mental health service and coalescing students from various races, backgrounds, cultures, religions, and gender.

NOBILITY

  • Nobly maintain the student partnership agreement (SPA) and promoting post-graduate and undergraduate student presence in the student union.

INCORPORATION

  • Incorporate the university management and student union to subsidize the year-to-year increment of students’ tuition fees, increase investment in bursaries, and provide more scholarships.

ENHANCEMENT

  • Enhance the learning environment by entailing the university to incorporate video lecturing in the curriculum.

LIAISON

  • Liaise with the university system to rethink, reframe, and reconstruct the current curriculum to make it more inclusive and diverse.
