Candidate for the position of International Students' Rep
Better Admissions. Better Integration. Better Experience. Better Strathclyde.
As International Student Representative, I aim to improve the experience of University for all International Students across Strathclyde. The University experience begins long before the first lecture begins or the first Freshers event starts, and the support for International Students should too. When elected to this position I will provide the best representation for International Students and will strive to improve admissions, integration, and experience by accomplishing the following:
Entering Uni is a stressful time for any student, regardless of origin. International students endure the same challenges and more. They have to undergo the stress and expenses of travel from their country; students coming from outside the EU have to go through the Visa Application process, something that is notorious for its complexity and expense. International students deserve better support from the University to improve the application process and integration into Scottish culture and University life.
