Hi, my name is Burabari Sunday and I am a postgraduate student studying Global Environmental Law and Governance. I am currently the treasurer of the Nigerian Society at the University of Strathclyde and I have previously worked with different NGOs in Africa to raise awareness of polo and malaria as well as liaise with a wider community.

As your Vice President Community, I will push to promote:

• A scheme that encourages new ideas from student’s interaction, which will bring the University several steps closer to making students’ academic experience inclusive and exciting. 
• Collaborating with other union officers to organise programmes on environmental sustainability and trainings as well as volunteer opportunities for students.
• A reformed waste strategy for recycling unwanted food waste within the university.
• Liaise with students and the university to ensure the well-being of students and a thriving student community.
• Social events that will promote diversity and inclusiveness amongst students and within the various universities in Glasgow.
