ReFresh: Cycle Safe at Strathclyde

To support cyclists and pedestrians in keeping safe on the roads this winter, the University of Strathclyde are holding an afternoon of bike maintenance, safety and security advice for both cyclists and pedestrians.

What's occurring?

Dr Bike
The team Bike for Good Glasgow West are offering FREE Dr. Bike session! Simply bring your bike along between 12pm and 3pm for the mechanics to work on your bicycle.

Police Scotland
Ever had a close call with a large vehicle? Blind spots in HGVs are much bigger than you might think and can be a danger for both pedestrians and cyclists on the roads.
Come along and get the drivers seat view in Police Scotland's HGV.

BikeRegister
Get your bike registered FOR FREE on the UK wide, police approve bicycle register. It acts as a deterrent for theft and helps you recover your bike if it does get stolen.

Glasgow City Council
The cycling safety team from Glasgow City Council will be here chatting about how to keep yourself and the people around you safe on the roads during winter
