UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) is an annual event creating a platform to focus on the history of our struggle for equality and human rights. This year, the awareness month runs from 22 November to 22 December.

StrathUnion and Andersonian Library Book Display

For this year's DHM we have created a display of titles from the library collection. These books explore the theme of disability history, personal experience, academics, fiction and biography. We also donated five new books to the collection:

Afred Nobel: A Biography by Kenne Fant

Exile and Pride: Disability, Queerness and Liberation by Eli Clare

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon

The Little Big Things by Henry Fraser

Scapegoat: Why We Are Failing Disabled People by Katharine Quarmby

You can find the display in L2 of the library until 22 December. All books on display are still available for loan.
