Strath Union is an organisation dedicated to supporting students throughout their years at university and beyond.

Green Team

This opportunity takes place between 30 May 2018 and 30 May 2019.

Interested in creating a more sustainable Strathclyde? This is the perfect opportunity for you! The Green Team is a student-led volunteering group that focuses on organising different sustainability campaigns and projects throughout the year, such as Student Switch Off, Fairtrade Campus, Bike for Good, and Love Food – Hate Waste.

The Green team is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in leadership, teamwork, campaigning, finance and project management. It allows you to be involved with an exciting programme of events, training, activities, talks, projects and workshops, and meet likeminded people.

Training available

A 1 hour team-building session will take place at a time agreed with all applicants. At the first meeting, the specific training and development needs of the team will be identified and additional training sessions will be arranged internally or with relevant external organisations.

Support and supervision details

The Green Team will be supported by the Vice President Volunteering & Development, the Ethics and Environment Officer and the Student Development Co-Ordinator, who will be present to help with meetings, and provide guidance on organising campaigns and project planning.
