Who are we?
From sports clubs and societies to representing student voices to the University, providing volunteering opportunities, food and drink, events and much more, Strath Union is where everything happens.
We offer every student opportunities for connection, support and development that equip and empower you to thrive at Strathclyde and beyond. Be part of it.
Representation
Your elected Student Executive ("Exec" for short) along with over 600 student representatives (Strath Reps) champion the issues that matter most to you. Through them you can provide feedbac
to the Univetisty, to make student life better for yourself and others. You can even become a student representative yourself - join up through class, faculty, annual elections.
Student Parliament is the main democratic decision-making body of the Union. It is where students quiz the Exec and debate policy proposals. All students can attend this meeting and submit
policy to Student Parliament.
Opportunities
We regularly share Volunteering opportunities to fit around your studies, where you can enhance your CV, develop skills, and get more involved with your local community. Our JobShop advertises
everything from part-time jobs to seasonal work and vacancies on campus to internships, with not a zero-hour contract in sight!
Support
Our Advice Hub offers free, confidential advice and support to all Strathclyde students, independently from the University. Our advisors can chat about options and give advice on everything from
course transfers and appeals to council tax and tennancy rights to student funding and emergency financial support. They can also help you find support for specialist area of advice such as visas,
immigration and debt.
Societies
If you're interested in meeting people outside your course or developing a hobby, then why not join a Society? New ones are introudced every two weeks during term time, and you can even start your own!
Sport
Whether you want to become a #Strathlete or just stay active, the Sports Union caters for all levels of ability. If club sport is not for you, our StrathACTIVE and Intra Mural Sport programme offers a variety of
affordable social and recreational activity designed to fit around your studies!
