Welcome back to the new semester! All of us at TEDxUniversityofStrathclyde would like to wish you a very Happy New Year!

As the new term begins we would love to tell you more about our society, the projects we have planned over the coming months and how you can get more involved. TEDxUniversityofStrathclyde has been a society with the Strathclyde Student’s Union for over five years, famously holding our Annual Ideas Conference, our flagship event each year in the Spring. We have worked with academics, industry leaders, government officials and innovators to share stories that will inspire and invigorate our global audience and this year is no different!

We are a society comprised of engaged, dedicated and diverse students from a range of departments and faculties all working towards the same goal - of sharing our passion for TED talks and motivating the student community at Strathclyde to discover for themselves the power of an inspirational talk.

We have multiple teams; Marketing & Communications, Logistics & Stage Management, IT, Finance & Sponsorship, Speakers & Curators and Volunteers working closely together to run smaller events throughout the year, manage our social media accounts, generate sponsorship from external partners and importantly, select impressive and dynamic speakers for our Annual Conference.

We will be hosting our conference this year albeit a little later than usual, so that we can continue to deliver the excellence that we are renowned for. We will also be collaborating with other TEDx chapters and hosting workshops throughout the semester, focused on professional development and public speaking among others.

We are an incredibly welcoming society and are always looking to increase our members. You can purchase one of our memberships via our webpage. This will give you exclusive access to all of our events and a discount on tickets our annual conference.
