Glasgow Students' Nightline

Nightline is a confidential and anonymous support service that's run for students by students at Strathclyde University, Glasgow University, and Glasgow Caledonian University.

If at any point you need to quickly leave one of our advice pages, you can hit escape to return to the landing page.

Nightline is here to support you when you need it

Nightline is there for anyone that's having a tough time, needs a friendly ear to listen to whatever's on their mind, or who just needs the phone number for a local taxi company after a night out. Nightline is the only service run specifically for students that offers both information and emotional support through the night.

Volunteering with Nightline

We train twice a year in October and February and are always looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and supportive students who are willing to volunteer to give some time to help other students in need. There's so much to gain from being part of Nightline, so if you think you'd be interested in learning new, valuable listening and communication skills, gaining experience in supporting people on a wide variety of topics, and making some new friends, then we'd like to hear from you.

For lots more information visit our website. If you are interested in applying to join Nightline as volunteer, then you can apply below or if you have any questions at all, then get in touch at nightlinecoordinator@src.gla.ac.uk

Apply to volunteer with Nightline

Please note that it is Nightline policy that upon joining the service, volunteers must be willing to commit to two semesters of membership, and as such, we are unable to train those in their final semester of study.
