A week of events to welcome you to university, run by us, your Union. It's a chance to meet new people, find out what the Union's all about and have a good time.

We'll host lots of events from fairs and speed meetings to campus tours and live music. These are your opportunity to connect with societies and sports clubs , explore what Glasgow has on offer and celebrate the start of your university experience!

Our address is 51 Richmond Street, G1 1XU. The building is on the corner of Richmond and Portland Street directly across from Livingston Tower, Graham Hills and Rottenrow Gardens.

This will depend on the event but most of our events will be free! If there is a charge for an event, it will be shared ahead of time on the event page or our social media.

Don't worry if you're under 18 when you start at Strathclyde you can still join us for our Freshers' Week events. You won't be able to buy alcohol at the bar and will be given a wristband so staff know you are under 18.

The Union is fully cashless, so you will need to bring a card to pay for coffee at Roasters or a drink at The Terrace.

We work with Bryks for loyalty and rewards at Roasters and The Terrace. Make sure to download the Bryks app before you arrive to add loyalty cards to use at each venue.

You need to login on our website to sign up to events using your DS username and password from the university. If you don't have this yet you can make a guest account. This account can be linked to your native account too.

The Welcome Team is a group of Strathclyde students who volunteer to welcome new students to Strathclyde. They wear pink t-shirts and Union branded hats around campus, don't be afraid to approach them, they're happy to help you throughout Freshers' Week.

We are the only official providers of tickets for Strath Union events. Don't buy tickets unless you are sure you know what you are getting for your money! Some societies or sports clubs may use other ticket providers, so always contact them directly if you're unsure.
