Sports Marketing Assistant
The Sports Marketing Assistant will support the Sport Union department with core marketing and communication of its service provision.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a marketing and communications lead within the team supporting staff and students with general marketing of the Sports Union service.
- Contribute to the administration of the Sports Union website, regularly updating content and providing ongoing feedback of any development needs.
- Lead on our marketing output across social media channels, by managing a content planner consulting all stakeholders involved in Sports Union service provision to ensure all areas of service are well promoted.
- Assist with the production of marketing materials such as social media content, flyers, and advertisement graphics (TV screen promotion).
- Work closely with our Sports Union Publicity Officer volunteer to establish ways of working and task allocation.
- Take on desk research assigned by line manager to support the ongoing development of student sport programmes within the Sports Union and across the University.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the managing staff.

Sports Competition Assistant
The Sports Competition Assistant will support the Sport Programme Coordinator with key fixture and competition administration tasks covering all sports clubs entered in BUCS/SSS competitions.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the collation of BUCS/SSS fixtures and results on a weekly basis.
- Ensure the accuracy of fixtures and results across internal and external platforms.
- Provide teams support with logistics when required.
- Help to ensure BUCS/SSS entries are submitted within deadlines for individual/team competitions and events.
- Ensure you have sound knowledge of the general and sport specific BUCS/SSS rules & regulations.
- Assist in creating marketing materials related to competitions to be published via various social media platforms on a weekly basis.
- Act as front-facing reception cover in the office as well as managing the central Sports Union email and phone line for routine enquiries from students or sports club members, providing high standards of customer care.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the managing staff.
