The University of Strathclyde Sports Union (USSU), located in Glasgow City Centre, is the coordinating body for organised sport at the University of Strathclyde.
USSU is a constituent group of Strathclyde Students Union and integrated working partner of Strathclyde Sport, the University’s sport and recreation department. Together, we recognise the importance of an active lifestyle in both the experience that it provides our shared student audience as well as the positive impact that it can have on their wellbeing.
We are looking to hire a student staff member to support the culture, operating practices and customer experience of the University of Strathclyde Sports Union by providing first point of contact for all enquiries, ensuring clear and knowledgeable information of student sports clubs and services with an efficient and friendly approach.
Normally based out of the £31m Strathclyde Sport campus facility, due to current circumstances, you will be required to work from home when guided to.
You will act as first point of contact for student, volunteer and member enquiries. You will be required to provide a high standard of customer care in the tasks assigned such as social media and digital marketing output of the Sports Union, managing collation of news and digital content for all platforms, and support the administration of Sports Union and Club membership lifecycle.
You will be a keen team player with experience of sport administration or club volunteer experience (voluntary), possessing the ability to build strong working relationships with student volunteers and staff in other departments to ensure we provide a full sport development service.
We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual with experience of sport administration and student sport.
The successful candidate will be contracted to Strathclyde Students Union, operating out of the Sports Union office based in Strathclyde Sport.
