Canoe

Welcome to the University of Strathclyde Canoe Club!

We take part in a range of activities, from Whitewater Kayaking and Freestyle to Competitive Canoe Polo and Slalom. We meet at the boat store (next to the university centre) at 5:30pm every Thursday and then head to the pool at Strathclyde Sport to learn some skills, play some games and do lots of paddling!

Don't forget our regular recreational club river trips which take place during term and is your chance to visit some of the best sights in Scotland. On a competitive level we compete in all disciplines within British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions and also have a few Canoe Polo team in the national Scottish Canoe leagues. Several of our athletes also receive weekly strength and conditioning training as part of our involvement in the FOCUSport programme.

We have all the kit you need stored on campus, so just bring a smile to your first session and come along to our socials afterwards in the Merchant City for some free food.

Any questions? Ask away, contact details to reach student committee members can be found on the email link on this page or find us on our social media channels to message us directly.
