Club Sport

Strath Surf is an active, engaging, and welcoming club. We meet several times every month for socials, surf trips and coffee mornings. We’re one of the largest clubs at Strathclyde and welcome everyone, from complete beginners to absolute pros – all are welcome.

We organise 3 weekend trips to Machrihanish on the west coast of Scotland every semester. On these trips we offer surf lessons to anyone wanting to take part, as well as supplying all the kit you need. We host coffee mornings in the union every week, as well as yoga sessions every two weeks followed by pints in the union. At the end of the second semester, we also organise a trip to Spain for a blissful week of surfing, silliness, and sangria in the sun – this is the main event of the club year and is extremely popular every year.

Students, members, and friends are encouraged to come along to all our social events at any point in the semester – we always welcome new members, even until the last week of uni. Events and trip details can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Purchasing our standard membership gives you access to all club trips, socials, and a buff card. Purchasing our ‘Plus Membership’ gives you access to the above, as well as unlimited use of the club’s kit outwith organised trips.
