Badminton

We are one of the largest clubs at the University and the most successful student badminton club in Scotland. Our sessions are suitable for all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner, want to play for fun or compete in BUCS or SSS competitions!

We have two competitive mixed teams playing in BUCS Scottish 1A and 3A leagues – our 1s team have won the top division for many years in a row! This year, our women's team are also playing in the North Premiership League after gaining promotion in the 22/23 season.

In addition to our BUCS teams, we also have a development team who compete in regional fixtures against locally against other Universities and Colleges in a relaxed and fun environment, with less travel requirements.

For students who just want to play for fun, we also have a huge number of social members who come along to Strathclyde Sport on Thursday evenings for a knock-about with students from all backgrounds and ability levels.
