trathCurl meet most Wednesday afternoons throughout term at Lanarkshire Ice Rink in Hamilton at 2:30 for a mix of training drills led by our qualified coaches and friendly practice games, alongside Glasgow University, a great way to meet new people from other universities! 

Players of all abilities are more than welcome to join the fun and take part in one of Scotland's national sports. Why not try out an Olympic sport this year, especially with the winter Olympics coming up next year! All equipment is provided but you are required to bring clean, flat shoes and warm, comfy clothes, the ice can be cold! 

If you're looking for something a bit more competitive, you're in luck. We participate in a range of competitions for all levels. Beginners can also take part in friendly games against other local clubs. More serious players can throw their hat into the ring for the SSS Curling League, which is where we play against other universities across the country. The highlight of the year is our weekend trip to the SSS Open held in Stranraer every March, a weekend of curling and socialising with curlers from universities all over Scotland! 

To get to Lanarkshire Ice Rink, we usually get the train to Hamilton from Glasgow Central/Argyle Street around 1pm, which usually costs about £6 for a return (even less if you have a railcard). Travel plans are arranged each week, so no one is left wondering how to get along! Just message us on social media and we will let you know of the plans!
