Welcome to the University of Strathclyde Men's Football Club!
Every year Strathclyde University Men’s Football Club welcomes many new players to join our successful club.
We train on Mondays and Thursdays at Stepps playing fields and other all-weather facilities in Glasgow.
Our 4 teams compete against other Universities and Colleges on Wednesday afternoons in the BUCS leagues, as well as 3 different Amateur leagues in Glasgow on Saturday mornings and afternoons.
Throughout the year we host many social events such as Rank shirt night and Race night; both being held at our great sponsor 'The Merchant'. We also collaborate with other Sport Union clubs for a great chance at meeting other sporting people.
Trials will be hosted in Freshers Week for the 22/23 season. If you are interested in signing up for trials please give our Facebook or Instagram a message or sign up at the annual sports fair in Freshers Week.
Any questions? Ask away, contact details to reach committee members can be found on the email link on this page or find us on our social media channels to message us directly.
Membership – what do I need?
1. Sports Union Membership – this is a flat £30 fee for the year (or £20 for one semester) which goes directly back to the club to fund various club activities and operations, including:
- Personal accident and public liability insurance
- Coaching fees, competition entry and transport costs, club equipment and external facility hire
2. Sports Club Bolt-on Fee – we also charge a £150 joining fee for the year (or £80 for one semester) which is charged to subsidise additional sport specific costs such as buying and maintaining equipment. This fee is charged on top of the Sports Union membership and again, goes directly back to the club and participants taking part in our activities.
