About Us

At Strathclyde Hockey, everybody is welcome no matter your skill level - whether you have never picked up a stick or have been capped for Scotland, there is a place for you in one of the biggest clubs in the university. Across the club we have 5 womens and 3 mens BUCS teams competing every Wednesday against other universities, 1 womens and 2 mens teams competing in Scottish hockey club competitions every Saturday, and friendly teams for those who are newer to the sport. 

Each team trains twice a week at Stepps playing fields, and the exact times for each team can be found in the timetable below. 

Our performance teams are led by our dedicated coaches, and get S&C support and video analysis from strath sport.

The hockey club is a great place to make new friends at university, whether through training, matches or our weekly joint socials at Strath Union every Wednesday, where we enjoy a few drinks before dancing the night away at Manuka nightclub.
