The Strathclyde Trading Society (STS) is a student-led initiative that aims to prepare members for careers in the financial services industry.

About us

The Strathclyde Trading & Portfolio Management Society (STPMS) was formed by students who sought to extend Strathclyde's excellence in finance to the rest of the university. STS represents an opportunity for students from all departments and degree levels who are interested in financial markets to engage with the real experience of investing during university. No prior knowledge required.
 
The society manages an investment portfolio with over £2000 AUM by applying a collaborative approach to taking positions and employing various risk models alongside macroeconomic analysis. Students will benefit from the first-hand contact with industry professionals with experience in banks and asset management firms. We will also provide support during the application process, increasing the opportunities of our members to land a job in the financial industry.
