Campaigns

Let's make a difference together.

The reason why we campaign is simple

Campaigning is one of the primary ways that real change happens, by reshaping societal norms and structures, building meaningful community and solidarity, and holding the powerful to account.

If there's a change you want to see at Strathclyde, Scotland, or the world, a campaign could help you achieve it. Find out more about the legacy of campaigning left by Strathclyde alumni, and how Strath Union can support you in your campaign!

Who is campaigning?

Strath Union is home to many action groups and issue-based societies, and student representatives who focus on specific groups and issues, but if you can't find one you're interested in, we can help you set one up.

Strath RISE

Time and time again, students have played a vital role in social justice movements. Today in 2024, across the world, students continue to harness their power to build a better future, campaigning on topics from climate justice to the cost‐of‐living crisis, unfair marking criteria and policies, divestment, and decolonising the curriculum.

No matter how big or small your campaign idea is, or how much activism experience you have had before, come along to Strath Union from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th October for a week of activism, campaigning, and building solidarity.

Whether you're a seasoned activist, or just beginning your journey, this week will be jam packed with opportunities to gain and develop campaigning skills, connect with other activists, and join action groups. The week will kick off with the Campaigns Fair on Tuesday 1st October, when level 1 of Strath Union will be buzzing with activists.
