We're not-for-profit. That means all our work centres our members, the Strathclyde students. This includes supporting student-led societies and sports clubs, promoting volunteering and job opportunities, training student representatives and ensuring every penny spent across our venues goes back into improving services for students.
We value the contribution all our staff make to our success and have been an accredited Living Wage employer in Scotland for over 10 years.
We achieved the Silver LGBT Charter award in the summer of 2023. The Charter is managed by LGBT Youth Scotland and recognises the achievements of organisations in proactively including LGBTI people in every aspect of their work, protecting staff and providing a high-quality service to customers, students or service users.

Who makes it happen
Full-time employees are entitled to 31 days annual leave plus public holidays each year. Hourly staff accrue holidays based on the hours they work.
We enjoy a fast paced and fun working environment, and we all pitch in to help each other and give our students a great experience.
We offer salaries that are equal to or exceed the industry standard for similar jobs in the same area. Our hourly staff are paid the Real Living Wage. Take a look at pay scales for salaried staff.

Outside of the classroom, the Union is where everything happens. Founded in 1964 we've been providing students with a social hub on campus, a place to eat and drink seven days a week and a variety of events to foster togetherness.
