Want to be part of a student publication entirely run, edited and produced by students? Find out what it's like working in the media, both in print and online? Then the Strathclyde Telegraph is for you! All students can join us regardless of subjects studied. You do not need writing experience (or any other journalism experience). Additionally, there is no minimum or maximum commitment! we are all students and know how busy things can get. If you want to be part of a student media publication in any way shape or form alongside your studies, you are welcome here!

Our aim to provide those joining our society with a creative way to get experience in their areas of interest (be that TV, features, news, sports, multimedia, photography, graphic design...) and act as a platform for students to gain valuable experience in submitting and editing for print and online. We also want to serve the Strathclyde community as a way to provide a frequent outlet to inform students, and to cover cultural events of significance in the university, the city of Glasgow, and beyond.

We have contributor groups on social media through which we give out article pitches for our main sections: news, features, music, culture and sports. But don't feel limited by these labels! We are open to all ideas and will help you craft these into a story! Just get in touch with us. All our editor emails are on this page, or send us a dm on social media.

We meet on a bi-weekly basis from January 2022 onwards. We don't currently have a room assigned for semester 2, so please check our socials for where and when we'll meet! Sorry for the inconvenience.

You can find our constitution here .

Any questions? you can always email editor@strathclydetelegraph.com with any story ideas and questions you might have.
