The Constitution is the governing document of the Students' Association. As such, it rules what can and cannot happen in the Students' Association. As well as this, it gives us our legal status and structures along with all the Committees and the Association's Discipline Code.
The Constitution (along with everything else in the Association) is owned by our members – the Students of Strathclyde. The Constitution can be changed by submitting a motion to Student Parliament so long as you have the signatory support of at least 100 students. Student Parliament will then discuss the motion, and if passed through Parliament, the motion will be passed on to a Referendum where all students get the chance to vote for or against the changes.
The constitution can be viewed and downloaded below.
