We are Strath Union, your Students’ Union - the beating heart of activity for students on Strathclyde campus since 1964.
We run events year-round where you can let loose, let go, just throw a couple shapes and put your skills on show.
We provide free and confidential advice for students, covering academic support, wellbeing and more.
University is all about finding friends, finding community, and finding yourself.
We exist to represent all students at the University of Strathclyde. We make sure your voice is heard across the University and beyond.
Enhance your CV, develop skills, find a part-time job and get more involved with your local community.
We've been leading the way in developing projects, campaigns, and student societies to better support students.

Eat & Drink
We're partnered up with Glasgow Taxis to make sure that you can get home safely any time of day or night even if you don't have immediate access to cash or a card; all you need is your Strathclyde student card and you can pay later!
You must have access to your student card either physically or via the Strathclyde app - if you do not have this available, you will not be able to access the scheme. The scheme is available for journeys up to the value of £30 only.
To arrange a taxi, there's some simple steps to follow:
Phone Glasgow Taxis on 0141 429 7070. Tell them that you are a Strathclyde student and you want to use the Safe Home Scheme. Please note that we strongly encourage you to phone to arrange rather than picking up a taxi from a taxi rank or hailing on the street to ensure that it is a Glasgow Taxis car and driver sent to you.
The operator will take your details (name, phone number, destination and pick up location, and confirm that you have your student card - either the physical card or virtual one via the Strath app!). They will text you a link so you can track your taxi and see how close it is.
Upon pick up, you will need to show the driver your student card so they can confirm your details.
The Union will be in touch with you after your journey so that you can arrange to pay us for your journey.
The full guidance, including information on how Glasgow Taxis are keeping people safe from Covid-19, is available here!
If you have any questions about the scheme, please contact The Advice Hub.
