World Mental Health Day 2019 - Tea and Talk

It's time to talk.

What's occurring?

World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2019, is a day for all students and staff to unite in our efforts to improve the mental health of our University community. On this year’s World Mental Health Day, we invite you to attend our ‘tea and talk’ event to help us:

-Improve awareness of the significance of mental health as a global public health issue,

-Reduce the stigma associated with mental health and,

-Promote the positive message of support available within the University and local community.

The Disability and Wellbeing Service alongside an information marketplace will showcase the range of extensive support within the University, and external organisations which assist in promoting and improving mental health within the wider community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with others, which research shows is good for your mental health, enjoy tea/coffee and cake and discuss the topic of mental health.
