Starting a business as a student

What's occurring?

Hear from Saud Waqar, and MSc Finance and Management student at Strathclyde, about his experience in starting a business as a student.

His fruit distribution startup, Shazday, raised an equivalent of 60,000 GBP in funding and sold GBP 20,000 worth of fruit in their first sell cycle.

In this talk, Saud will share his experience of coming up with a business idea, writing a business plan and pitching it, lessons to learn from his mistakes and his top tips for planning for the future and continuity of a startup, especially in light of COVID-19.

The second half of the event will be for Q&A, open discussion and networking.
