Join in the discussion, as we hear from academics from across our schools here at Strathclyde!

Dr Esperanza Miyake (Journalism, Media & Communications), Dr Navan Govender (Applied Language and Literacy Education) and Dr Nathar Iqbal (English) will be discussing their lived experiences of being BAME in academia and taking questions and points of discussion from you – our audience,  as we kick off a journey of learning as we seek to decolonise higher education. This promises to be a thoughtful conversation for students and academics alike! In addition, this is only the beginning, as this will be the springboard event for follow up support and discussion following this event!

We will be taking questions and encouraging participation throughout the event and participants can join in-person or online. If you would like to submit a question to the panel, you can do so at the link below:

This meeting will be held online and in-person - if you wish to attend in person, please note that these spaces are limited to allow for distancing in the venue.
