University is all about finding friends, finding community, and finding yourself. Our societies and sports clubs provide a space for you to do all this and more.
At Strath Union we have around 200 student-led societies, for a huge range of student communities. You can find a society for your course, hobby, or identity, and if you can't find the society that you're interested in we can support you to start a new one.
Joining a society is a great way to have fun, try new things, and connect with like-minded people.
On each society’s page there will be information about what they do, their contact details, and details about their events and meetings.
Find the society that you want to join and click ‘become a member’. Some of the societies charge a small fee to help them support their activities throughout the year, so you just need to complete the checkout to sign up.
The University of Strathclyde Sports Union is home to 48 Sports Clubs on campus. With around 3,000 members, we're one of the biggest and most diverse student sport communities in Scotland.
Strathclyde has long been recognised as one of the top destinations for student sport in Scotland. Our Sports Clubs cater for all levels of ability, whether you're a complete beginner or seasoned athlete, we have something for you.
You can join any Sports Club by purchasing a membership from September! From just £20 you can access all sports clubs during the academic year. We're open to students, staff and graduates.
