The University of Strathclyde Law Society is the largest society at the University. We are open to all law students, meaning that, unlike many societies, we do not charge a traditional membership fee, and every student at the Law School is automatically entitled to attend our events.
The society organises a range of both social and academic events across the year, with our most anticipated events including our Annual Law Ball, Christmas Ceilidh, Halloween Bus Crawl and Legal Speed Networking. In addition to these events, we host bi-weekly socials at one of our sponsor venues, alongside other academic events organised directly with our various law firm connections. These events provide law students with an enhanced university experience, allowing countless opportunities to meet fellow students, and also members of the legal profession.
We are always eager to invite students to join the Law Society Committee, with our elections running at the end of every academic year. However, we do seek to add at least 2 First Year Reps to the Committee in September to ensure we have a group representative of all years.
To make sure you are kept up to date with all of our events and access any benefits at our sponsor venues for socials, we would encourage you to please register as a member of the Law Society on the Union Website. This is completely free and only takes a few minutes.
