Welcome to Strathclyde Chess Club!!
The Strathclyde Chess Society was founded in 2015 and has been an active society with a variety of events ever since! We won the 2017-18 Glasgow Chess League title in our division. In 2023 and 2024 we won both the Glasgow and Dumbartonshire leagues. We are now in the 1st division for both. We also won the Jack Campbell Rosebowl Cup, (Scottish wide comp) in 2023 and 2024.
Regular club events where we socialize and play some chess will be running in room GH552 at Graham Hills Building (next to the union's building) this semester between 5 pm and 7 pm on every Monday.
We host regular socials on Mondays, from 7 pm onwards at Bar Home. Check our Instagram for updates on this. "strathchessclub"
