Welcome to Strathclyde Chess Club!!
The Strathclyde Chess Society was refounded in 2015 and has been an active society with a variety of events ever since! We won the 2017-18 Glasgow Chess League title in our division. In 2023 we won both the Glasgow and Dumbartonshire leagues. We also won the Jack Campbell Rosebowl cup, which is a Scottish-wide competition.
Regular club events where we socialize and play some chess will be running in room GH552 at Graham Hills Building (next to the union's buidling) this semester between 5pm and 7pm on every Monday.
If you want to join the best thing to do would be to turn up and meet everyone. Please check our facebook page to know what and when our events are on for each week.
You can also send a message to our Instagram account or to our email (unionsociety-chess@strath.ac.uk) and one of our committee members will get back to you!
