About us

About us

Marine Robotics Society is a student-led group at the University of Strathclyde, fostering innovation in marine robotics systems. Organised by students, for students, we provide hands-on experience with cutting-edge marine robotics technology. With our main technical project, StrathVoyager, we participate in international competitions, such as the NJORD Challenge.

We host weekly meetings on Wednesdays (5 pm at HD1.13), where we gather to work on our technical projects, conduct workshops, or host guest talks from industry representatives.

If you're interested, feel free to reach out via our email or Instagram!

We recruit all year long, so don't hesitate to contact us now!

StrathVoyager

Our StrathVoyager Team focuses on the development of Autonomous Surface Vehicles. We aim to participate in international events. Our past successes include:

  • NJORD 2023 - 5th place, Team Spirit Award
  • NJORD 2024 - 4th place, Sportsmanship Award

This year, we are currently building our third StrathVoyager vessel!
