SCR - Strathclyde Students for Covid Relief

We are a society formed of students and alumni from the University of Strathclyde whose aim is to aid global COVID-19 relief efforts. To achieve this, our current focus is on designing and manufacturing ventilator-type CPAP devices to be used in Malawi – a country which is severely impacted by the pandemic.

We are in contact with the Malawi University of Science and Technology for them to provide guidance on our project from the Malawi side and for us to share our knowledge and experience to assist their COVID-19 related projects. Furthermore, we are working with university staff and the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland to exploit the manufacturing capabilities at Strathclyde and have reached out to medical specialists who understand the application and operation of these devices. This gives us a strong international network of people and groups to develop our project.
