Strathclyde Undergraduate Engineering Ball 2023

Who are we? 

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Ball Committee at University of Strathclyde, we are run by and for EEE, CES (Computer & Electronic Systems), EME (Electrical & Mechanical Engineering) (Electrical & Mechanical Engineering) and BME.  

Where? 

DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, 36 Cambridge Street Glasgow, G2 3HN 

When?  

Saturday 25th March 2023, Reception opens at 7pm and dinner and dance will end at 12am. 

Details? 

EEE Ball Committee are hosting an end of year ball, open to all years for EEE, CES, EME and BME students. All attendees can purchase ONE extra ticket for you to be able to bring a plus one, no matter the course, department, or university. However, we are following a strict no refund policy.

The ball is on Saturday the 25th of March 2023, which is at end of week 10. 

The venue is the gorgeous Double Tree by Hilton, which is in the city centre of Glasgow, which is a 10–15-minute walk from Central Station and Queen Street if you are travelling by train, or 10-minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station. 

Reception opens at 7pm, where you will be greeted with a glass of prosecco! And you will get the opportunity for photos by our photographer. 

Following this you will receive a three-course meal and will receive a half bottle of wine to accompany your meal. The menu is yet to be decided on, but we will ask for you to fill out the Google Form with any dietary requirements. However, once a menu is decided we will send out this information. 

Throughout the meal there will be music and the opportunity for more photos in the ‘Magic Mirror’ photobooth. 

After which there will be an LED dancefloor and DJ till 12am. 

There will also be reduced bedroom rates for all guests for that night at the Hilton Double Tree. 

Dress code will be formal/black tie, and kilts are encouraged.
