We’re looking for a Third or Fourth Year Honours Business student to join our team, as an Admin Assistant. This is a rare opportunity to work for a world-leading management science and operational research company while completing your studies. You’ll be following in the footsteps of several of our people, including directors who joined Simul8 through this route.

We’ve helped the likes of Nike, Ford, Apple, the NHS and so many other organizations to transform the way they make decisions. It’s not just about helping corporates increase their profit though. Every day our users make a real difference. In the last six months they have planned emergency overflow hospitals, launched effective drive through testing facilities and supported the vaccine roll out. There has never been a more critical time to help our users to make agile, informed decisions.

 

The Role

We have a part-time position available to start immediately. And don’t worry about combining this role with studying – we’ve all been there, and expect you to take study leave when you need to. At Simul8, you’ll be learning constantly, and taking direct ownership of projects from day one. We’re offering the perfect opportunity to combine earning while learning. Your work will centre around our users, sending them our software, answering the phone, offering support when they need it and ensuring your colleagues have everything they need to do their job.

You will work closely with our operations team to support the business and our customers. You’ll successfully strike the right balance with a number of admin duties, such as helping process customer orders, updating our CRM database and other management systems and providing support to our users. Thanks to the insight you’ll gain into our software services and markets, answering customer queries by phone or email will come naturally.

 

About you

Great at working under your own initiative. You’ll be happy to get on with the job in hand. If you need a reminder on how to do something we have procedures for just about everything so that makes it easy. Or if you need additional help or guidance you’ll not be afraid to speak up. Flexible and home working is standard, so you need to be comfortable working remotely.

Hard working. We will teach you everything you need to know and in return, you will be hard-working and enthusiastic.

Organised and prepared. You’ll be interested in getting things to run more effectively and efficiently. You’ll probably be good at writing to-do lists and making sure you get to the bottom of them!

Technical ability. You’ll be comfortable with technology and love using technology in your job.

Passionate about customer service. You’ll constantly ask ‘how can I make it better?’ and be keen to uphold our high standards.

The telephone is your friend. We’re not a call centre, but you will need to enjoy talking to customers, it’s mandatory.
