ISSFT are seeking an experienced and passionate Politics, Philosophy and Economics teacher for our Global Leadership class!
With an emphasis on debate as a learning tool, this class will focus on the modern world and explore subjects such as politics, philosophy and economics.
The position is well suited to a graduate of PPE, Global Studies or International Relations who has experience working with teenagers or a qualified teacher in any of the aforementioned subjects.
The class will explore how we make sense of the world around us, examine the concepts and values used in political and economic analysis, explain the choices the political systems must regularly make, study the effects of governmental policymaking and study inspirational leaders both past and present. Applicants should be well-versed in mooting or Model United Nations to aid students in enhancing their debate skills. Outside of the classroom, teachers are expected to write professional and comprehensive end-of-term reports for all their students.
The class runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 12 noon and we would require applicants to be available from the 1st of July to the 8th of August. All staff must participate in a mandatory training session which will be scheduled prior to the start of summer school.
Please be advised that our recruitment process will include testing and reference checks, and successful candidates will be required to obtain a child safeguarding certificate for example PVG or DBS. All applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK or have a UK Visa already in place as we are unable to sponsor Visas.
