You will be asked to upload a CV detailing the skills and experience you have that would make you suitable for the role.

Duties & responsibilities:
Work in a fast paced and exciting front facing service environment
Prepare food & drinks as required
Operate tills
Keep all areas clean & tidy
Contribute to the overall smooth day to day operation of the business through any reasonable means
Contribute to opening and closing of the catering spaces
Contribute to the safe space we have created for both staff and customers
Work as part of a large team to deliver an excellent service to patrons of Strath Union
Commit to a culture of learning and continuous improvement in their role
Have input into the events programme with ideas and suggestions
Extra duties when required
Must be available in Glasgow to start the role with training from 1st September
8 hours per week minimum term time contract
Person specification:
We are not in a position to be able to employ non-Strathclyde students or those graduating in winter 2025
Experience delivering excellent customer service & previous Barista experience is essential
Able to manage competing priorities
Able to work alone and with a team
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Able to problem solve with a can-do attitude
Able to work on your feet for long periods of time
Able to do manual handling to be able to move stock and contribute to putting away deliveries
