What You’ll Do: As a Glasgow Life Assistant (Pool Lifeguard), you'll play a key role in providing excellent customer service to swimmers and visitors at our sports venues. You'll ensure high standards of service from reception to poolside, keeping the venue clean and assisting with bookings and payments. You'll also help prepare activities and events. Reporting to the Duty Manager and working with the team, you'll be responsible for supervising the pools and ensuring customer safety. What We’re Looking For: • Confident swimming ability (able to achieve a timed 100m swim & deep dive). • Existing pool lifeguard qualification OR willingness to achieve the STA Pool Lifeguard qualification within 12 weeks (training provided by Glasgow Life). • Commitment to ongoing training to maintain your qualification. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Role Details Part-time: 10 hours per week, Saturday or Sunday. Shifts will be 0830 hours to 1830 hours. Our city-wide teams support venues across Glasgow as required, but everyone has a primary venue. Work at one of our fantastic pool venues across Glasgow: Castlemilk, North Woodside, Drumchapel, Pollok and Easterhouse (dependant on available vacancies).

The interview process has two stages: first, a swim test to assess your ability. Successful candidates will then proceed immediately to a competency-based interview.
