Within the Early Years, Children and Families Team, the Glasgow Life Assistants will deliver a high-quality service for children and families, supporting children’s social, physical, emotional, creative and intellectual wellbeing through self-directed play and family engagement, working with internal and external partners. You will work with a range of audiences including Pre 5, 5 – 11 Years, Families and children with Additional Support Needs, Assisting with planning and delivering sessions and projects including sourcing suitable resources and adapting content to meet the needs of the groups, monitor and evaluate programmes, collating performance information and adapting activities where opportunities for improvement are identified through monitoring sessions, maintaining records including registers, consent forms and checklists and providing information to managers as required.

• Relevant experience of delivering play, STEAM, creative arts (art, drama), and physical activity in an educational or community-based setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to engage, motivate diverse audiences, including children/families
• Ability to adapt programmes, sessions accordingly to meet the needs of different audiences.
• Experience (paid or voluntary) working with Pre 5’s, 5 – 11 years old children in education or community-based setting.
• Ability to work and travel in a variety of venues/locations citywide
