About the role

Within the Bus Strategy & Delivery department, focused on delivering and improving Public Transport provision in the West of Scotland, we have a great opportunity to join our Network Analysis & Design team as a Scheduling Assistant.

Working collaboratively across SPT, to support the aims set out in the Regional Transport Strategy, we are looking for the best talent to deliver on our ambitions.

You will provide support to the Scheduling Administrators within the Network Analysis & Design team, in providing transport scheduling for DRT, local authority and other services.   This will include responding to general enquiries by email and telephone for DRT (Demand Response Transport), schools and other transport requirements. You will also support Scheduling Administrators in the planning and producing of transport schedules. You will input and update digital systems used in the delivery scheduling services.

About you

You will have good administrative skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages. You will be self-motivated and committed to work on your own initiative and collaboratively as part of a team. You will also be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and be able to work under pressure and have good written and verbal skills. Knowledge of Transport Scheduling systems and techniques is desirable.

Hours will be part-time 14 hours per week working two consecutive days either start of the week or end of the week (Pattern to be agreed). The nature of this role may require you to work outwith normal office hours on occasion to support the operational requirements.

You will be based onsite at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5JF.
