Main Activities/ Responsibilities

  • Assist the Voice Team and Education President in supporting the academic representation system at Strathclyde, including communications and administrative functions.
  • Deliver training to reps from all faculties and across all levels of study.
  • Review training materials and collate feedback from reps.
  • Provide admin support with maintaining data records including updating the reps database.
  • Communicate directly with reps and relevant University staff and assist in handling queries via email and in person.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the support and development of reps including the planning and delivery of training and community building events.
  • Support Strath Union Exec Officers with research and insights into relevant academic issues including identification of common themes across departments and faculties.
  • Support the Voice team with representation and democracy projects, which may include Student Parliament, Campaigns, Elections.

  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and using initiative
  • Commitment to equal opportunities

Desirable

  • Experience of student representation
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant academic issues
  • Experience in designing/ delivering training
  • Research skills
