Main Activities / Responsibilities

This role is focused on supporting the delivery of joint objectives of Strath Union and Strathclyde Inspire to develop student entrepreneurship.

  • Organise events and activities focused on engaging students with entrepreneurship and employability including Global Entrepreneurship Week.
  • Support existing entrepreneurial learning opportunities, including the Exploring Entrepreneurship Challenge and Idea Ignite.
  • Connect and engage with entrepreneurship-related societies and student groups.
  • Signpost students with business ideas to the Strathclyde Inspire Start-up team for advice and guidance.
  • Support marketing and communications activity to raise awareness of entrepreneurship opportunities across the student body.
  • Support the effective operation and promotion of Strath Union’s Jobshop and ‘earn while you learn’ opportunities.
  • Contribute to data collection and impact reporting across relevant areas, including student entrepreneurship, Jobshop and the Strathclyde Inspire partnership.

Essential

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and using initiative 
  • Commitment to equal opportunities 
  • Relevant knowledge of entrepreneurship and experience of participating in entrepreneurial activities.

Desirable

  • Experience of event and/or project delivery
  • Ability to work with budgets.
