£12.41 per hour; £22,659 per annum

This role is full time, 35 hours per week

The post is offered fixed term until 31.3.2021.

Details

The Townhead Area Foodsharing Project will facilitate student volunteers to collect end of the day food waste from local retailers in the area and share it for free. The Project Manager will facilitate Climate Literacy training, climate change discussions, food waste cooking workshops and dinners. Activities should increase awareness of climate change and lead to a reduction in CO2e emissions in the area. The project should lead to more sustainable behaviours in the community.

The Project Manager will work with students and residents of the Townhead area to coordinate all areas of the project as well as reporting, monitoring and measuring. The primary location of the community fridge is within Strathclyde Students’ Union and the Project Manager will also coordinate the expansion of community fridges to neighbouring institutions and communities.
