Accreditations

Green Impact Award

We were awarded Excellent in the Green Impact accreditation in 2018/19. This accreditation is a UNESCO award-winning change and engagement programme for workplaces. It helps staff and students understand sustainability and social responsibility, gives a framework for actions, and celebrates acheivement.

Fairtrade Accrediation

We recieved a working towards status for Fairtrade Accreditation in 2022. We had previously achieved Full Fairtrade Accreditation in 2020 but as result of difficultes attributed to COVID-19 pandemic fell short in 2022 accreditation period. We are striving to achieving this level again in the next accreditation period in 2024.

Responsible Futures

This is an SOS UK facilitated change programme and accreditation mark to embed sustainability across formal, informal and subliminal curricula. We are working to submit evidence to the Strathclyde Student auditors between March and April 2023 in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Strathclyde. We will recieve news of our accreditation score in June.

Green Gown Awards UK and Ireland 2022

The Green Gown Awards, administered by EAUC has recognised expectional sustainability initatives undertaken by univeristies and colleges since 2004. The University of Strathclyde won the 2022 Green Gown Award for Student Engagement for the Strathclyde Climate Education Kick-Off initiative, they were 1 out of 7 finalists.
