How is it connected to sustainability?

40% of the UK's emissions come from households. Therefore considering the sustainability of our energy sources, especially for our households is an important topic as it relates to how we can make a change on an individual level. Whether it be choosing a renewable energy provider, or implementing household practices to consume less energy in our homes overall. On both an individual and system level, the connection between insulating our homes and sustainability and the effect of our reliance to fossil fuel energy sources to the cost of living crisis are key concerns also.

Friends of the Earth Scotland

They are Scotland’s leading environmental campaigning organisation. An independent Scottish charity with a network of thousands of supporters and active local groups across Scotland and part of the largest grassroots environmental network in the world, uniting over 2 million supporters, 73 national member groups, and 5,000 local activist groups
