Jump Rewards is a gamification platform available to all staff and students that rewards sustainable and wellbeing-focused behaviours with points allowing users to win prizes. The prizes available for topping the monthly leaderboard include a £10 gift voucher for EcoVibe, Marks & Spencers, Love2Shop stores or Cineworld.

Carbon Literacy Program

This training is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and will be done online via Zoom.

The three-week programme consists of three workshops which are run by Sustainable Strathclyde. The programme is open all staff and students and is geared towards sharing knowledge about the causes and impacts of climate change as well as pledging sustainable actions.

Climate Fresk Workshop

Climate Fresk is a collaborative and gamified workshop about climate change.

It is based entirely on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports, it can teach anyone the fundamentals of climate change, and its causes and consequences, in a few hours. The workshop aims to empower participants to then spread this knowledge and take effective action.

Introduction to Sustainable Development

The SD500: Introduction to Sustainable Development is a MyPlace module and part of the all-new Sustainability Passport that can be earned by students and staff.

This class aims to provide you with basic knowledge about the concept of Sustainable Development, how it has evolved and what aspects it covers. 

When you finish this class you will be confident to talk about:

  • The principles and key dimensions of sustainability
  • The SDGs as a blueprint for monitoring the progress to SD
  • How the concept of sustainability considers the planetary boundaries and human-environment interactions
  • Our current progress towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals
  • What sustainability looks like at the University of Strathclyde and opportunities for engagement
