StrathActive is the University’s flagship active health programme delivered in partnership between the Sports Union, Strathclyde Sport and Strath Union.
Together, we provide a range of free activities on campus for students and staff where the emphasis is on having fun and being a part of #StrathLife
How can I get involved?
StrathActive provides a range of sport and active health activities which take place at lunchtimes and late afternoons weekly, which are free to attend, as and when you please.
No equipment? No problem! Come along in comfortable sports wear and we will provide the rest.
We also run a monthly 'Get to Know Glasgow Walk', on the first Wednesday of every month. Each walk will be a different route around Glasgow and the suburbs, which is a great way to see more of the city as well as get your steps in!
To comply with NHS Test & Protect, participants must register for each session in advance using the online booking system.
Most sessions take place weekly in Strathclyde Sport, the University’s £31m sport, health and fitness centre located at the heart of campus.
This semester, the programme is scheduled to recommence wb 24th January, dependent on covid guidance easing for indoor sports.
Annually we recruit volunteers for the StrathActive programme. Applications are now closed, but will be promoted when re-opened..
