Do you want to try out a new sport? Exercise more? Or what about just time spent enjoying fun, non-competitive activity?
StrathActive is a recreational sport, physical activity and wellbeing programme on campus, run in partnership with Strathclyde Sport and the Students’ Union. We offer a range of activities on campus, providing an opportunity for all staff and students to take on an active lifestyle and stay physically and mentally healthy during your time at Strathclyde.
We really mean it when we say this programme is for everyone; whether you are a complete beginner, seasoned athlete or just want to meet some new people - then StrathActive is for you!
How can I get involved?
There is no membership required to take part in StrathActive. If your session is hosted in Strathclyde Sport, it is free to members or £3 for pay-as-you go participants, payable at reception. To register for a Strathclyde Sport gym membership please visit their website www.strath.ac.uk/strathclydesport.
To comply with NHS Test & Protect, participants must register for each session in advance using the online booking system.
No equipment? No problem! Come along in comfortable sports wear and we will provide the rest.
Due to Covid-19, the StrathActive schedule for 2020-21 has been adapted based on Scottish Governing Body guidance. Sessions available can be found here.
To continue to virtually engage with the StrathActive community, no matter where you are, join our Strava Club. Here you can record the activities you're getting up to in your own time to keep physically and mentally healthy, chat to other club members, and be in for a chance to win prizes in our monthly challenges.
