Tenancy Types

There are two main types of tenancies in Scotland: 'Private Residential Tenancies' and 'Common Law Tenancies'.

If your tenancy started on or after December 2017, and you rent from a landlord who you do not live with, you probably have a Private Residential Tenancy (PRT).
