SEC is a partnership committee between Strath Union and the University of Strathclyde established to identify, support and drive forward student-centred priorities.
Student Experience Committee (SEC) meets throughout the academic year fostering collaboration between the Union and University. The committee includes Student Exec, members of Union Staff and University Staff who work together to identify, support and drive forward student-centred priorities.
This committee also reports key items discussed to University Senate; the academic governing body within the University responsible for all academic matters.
This collaborative committee's membership includes Student Executive team, Faculty Reps and University Staff. All members were pictured at the recent SEC meeting on Level 8 of Strath Union.

Some of the key ahcievements from the committee include:
In 2019 more than 1,200 students voted to abolish graduation fees and following discussions at SEC these fees where scrapped. Since then all Strathclyde students have gone on to graduate free of charge whether they attend a ceremony or not.
