The Union has been delighted to receive plenty of good news recently with staff, students and departments all receiving deserved recognition for their hard work campaigning and spearheading initatives.

Last night, we won two NUS awards at the ceremony in Stirling. Well done to everyone who was a part in Fight for the Night campaign and the Trans and Non-Binary Swim sessions, which earned the Liberation and Equality Award and Community and Solidarity Award (respectively).

Eva Curran, President of Strath Union, shared her congratulations to everyone involved:

Two awards! I'm so proud of our staff and students for their dedication and commitment to these campaigns. Their work has been so inspiring, making a massive positive impact not just on Strathclyde, but the wider Glasgow community. I'm so glad that their efforts have been recognised by the student movement.
